November 2013, traveling through Kyoto, Nara, Miyajima, Naoshima, and Teshima with the Upaya Zen Center, being introduced to art old and new; temples of Buddha and commerce; and the intriguing people, cultures, and cuisines of Japan. An unforgettable journey with special teachers: Roshi Joan Halifax, Kaz Tanahashi, and Mayumi Oda, among many others who guided us on our way, especially Mitsue Nagase.  Thanks to all of you for this special time.
